DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate Canon digital presses producing wide gamut of print products.
• Utilize imposition software to properly layout files for production
• Operate machinery to cut, score, fold, trim, bind, and finish the final printed product.
• Read work orders and set the machine in accordance with job specifications.
• Complete trial run and evaluates the quality and appearance of the product.
• Adjust machinery as needed prior to starting the project.
• Ensure that binding machines are in proper working order.
• Deliver completed orders to shipping area.
• Help in offset printing areas as needed.
• Receive and stock paper when necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Ability to work with folding, trimming, drilling, creasing, collating, and binding machines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read work orders and follow instructions.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot problems with machinery.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Digital print production including RIP imposition features
• Keen eye for color and quality of printing materials
• Bindery experience preferred
• Mail service experience preferred
• Time management
• Organizational skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• On-the-job training provided as necessary
• Position is on-site only

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods of standing during machine operation and working in a loud environment.

Must be physically able to operate and repair machine, which may involve bending, squatting, and crawling. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
